Meadow Lake Property Owners Officers Absentee Voting
Nominations for officers will be closed 10 days prior to the meeting so that a final ballot can be printed. No nominations will be taken from the floor on the day of the meeting.
The secretary home will be open for absentee voting the weekend before and the Wednesday before the meeting. The secretary and one other board member will man the room for voting. An association member will arrive during the designated time and present their driver’s license or other acceptable government issued identification. The secretary will copy the identification and mark on the master property owners list that voting was performed by absentee. The property owner will then be given a ballot and allowed privacy to vote.
The cast ballot will be folded in half and stapled for privacy and will be opened only by the tally committee at the meeting. The copy of the identification will then be filed for audit if necessary.
For the election to take place in the Fall of 2011 the time for absentee voting will be the Saturday before the meeting from 10-2pm and on the Wednesday before the meeting from 4-7pm. Each year the current board will establish the convenient time. Should these times not be good for the property owners contact the secretary for a special time prior to the Wednesday before the meeting at 7pm.
All absentee/proxy voting will take place by 7pm on the Wednesday before the Saturday meeting. Proxies will be allowed for any out of town absentee property owners but the proxies must arrive before the deadline of the Wednesday before the Saturday meeting at 7pm.
An announcement will be made at the meeting of all absentee/proxies received for this election. No nominations will be made from the floor at the meeting.
The tally committee will open all ballots in private.
